Three live strains. Probiotics are live microorganisms. Soda Lean's blend names three strains right on the label: Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila. The blend totals 36 mg per capsule.
How It Works In The Gut
Bifidobacterium infantis is a bifidobacterium best known as an early colonist of the infant gut, where it is good at using the sugars in human milk. Clostridium butyricum is a spore-forming bacterium that makes butyrate and is used as a probiotic in parts of Asia. Akkermansia muciniphila lives in the mucus layer that lines the gut and has been a popular subject in early research on gut and metabolic health.
Why It Is In Soda Lean
The blend is included to support the community of bacteria in the gut, which is why it sits beside two prebiotic fibers in the same capsule.* It is not a promise of any particular result.
